First see my post compiling “real life”/contemporary sources.

The rest follow, organized by year. Most of this list is fluff and not worth consuming. The titles highlighted in yellow are those works which have proven themselves influential over the years (based only on my judgment). That’s not the same thing as being genuinely entertaining or worthwhile on their own merits so I have also bolded the ones that I like or that are “good” (again only in my opinion, and keep in mind there will be no entries for works that make no relevant unsupported claims). I hope this helps make it less overwhelming.
