This play was first staged in 2006. It's a Treasure Island prequel set all the way back during the Cromwellian Protectorate. Long John becomes a pirate under the command of Kees de Keyser, among whose crew numbers Calico Jack. Kees is eventually replaced with Long John who inherits the crew.
