This installment in the “Time Soldiers” series was published in 2002. A group of children travel back in time and encounter the villainous Calico Jack, who kidnaps a man named Patch and his daughter Julia. He ties up Julia in a cave with a bunch of treasure to lure Patch’s crew to try and rescue her. Jack and some of his crew come ashore with vague intentions and take the kids onto their ship, where the pirates battle the Sapphire. The kids escape back to shore, and Jack follows them with some of his men. The kids set a trap to scare them off and make it back to the present day.
